A NOTE FROM MJ

  • My class focuses on the craftsmanship and language in which art is articulated fundamentally and translates from the competition stage to a concert stage and every facet of art in between.

  • It requires the artist to be vulnerable to process the task. Accountable to see their future self the distance. This a spiritual connection of understanding the fundamentals creating emotion, textures and nuances within the art.

  • I suggest you bring yourself. If you have a theraband, a foam roller, block, the work will make for a clearer translation. The supplies are not required but helpful in your success throughout the weekend and beyond. We will translate the work from activations to phrase work center so socks would be most appropriate.
